The Winner of Graded Reading Program 2011/2012 (Part 1)



Graded Reading Program is a program organized by Vita School Library by utilizing a collection of The Oxford Bookworms Library. The collection consists of a starter level up to level 6 and has a few titles in each level.
Users are encouraged to read the collection from starter level up to level 6, with at least 4 titles for each level. The user will then get a card to be signed by the librarian for each accomplished reading and working on a book title. After all the 24 boxes are filled, the user will then get a reward.

The 2011-2012 Graded Reading Program organized by Vita School Library is not yet expired. However, there have been several students who have completed the program with good results. This time Vita Library will feature the students’ comments and impressions after completing the Graded Reading Program. Yupp they are Kentnard Jalen S (Class 6B), Devin A. Mackenzie (Class 6A), Dave Aaron (Class 6B), and Vanessa Adam (Class 6B).



Kentnard Jalen S (Class 6B)
“I want to finish Graded Reading Program because the story is good, I want the prize, and I want to add some vocabulary words that I don’t know. This program helps me to add vocabulary, and know some history, and I know English books. So interesting to finish this program because I got the voucher and appreciation. My favourite book is The Piano, because the story inspire me to study hard for something. After finished Graded Reading Program, I feel very very happy but a little bit sad because I’m so tired to do it. Because to finish it You need a lot of practice, patient, and diligent while reading.”

Dave Aaron (Class 6B)
“I’m happy because I can do all the exercise in Graded Reading Program, and I can know more about English. Because of this program, I can learn more about English. My favourite book is King Arthur, because the story is so interesting. You have to know what time to practice English, so you can finish it well.”

Devin A. Mackenzie (Class 6A)
“I want to finish the reading program coz I know I will get a reward, and now I’m so happy coz I get a good reward. This program helped me because I can learn English from these books. When I was ini this program, I got something interesting. We can learn words & sentences that we don’t know, and I got a voucher and sertivication. I love to read The Piano, Because it’s a good story and fun. What you need to finish this program are diligent and training a lot.”

Vanessa Adam (Class 6B)
“My mom tell me that I have to learn English more so I follow this program because last year I didn’t finish the program, so I think I have to finished it this year. I always never give up and  keep on fighting, and now I feel happy because finally I can finish this program. This program adds my grammar, and some of my wrong writing, beside that I can know some history that I can’t find in other book. I excited to read Agatha Christie, because it tells me about Agatha Christie (my mom admire her).”
